University of Vienna is looking for two predoctoral University assistants as part of the Vienna Doctoral School of Theology and Research on Religion (VDTR). Application deadline: 19 July 2026.
The VDTR is a joint doctoral school of the Faculty of Catholic Theology, the Faculty of Protestant Theology, and the Research Centre „Religion and Transformation.“ It offers research-led, interdisciplinary doctoral education spanning Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox and Islamic theology; religious studies; Islamic studies; Jewish studies; and philosophy of religion.
This position can be used to pursue a doctoral degree at one of the VDTR’s member organizations. Dissertation projects in the field of social ethics are warmly encouraged.
